Ahmadu Fintiri Biography: Nigerian politician Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was born on October 27, 1967, has been the governor of Adamawa State since 2019. He held the position of Speaker of the Assembly while serving in the Adamawa State House of Legislature.
After Murtala Nyako’s impeachment in July 2014, he was appointed interim governor of Adamawa State, a position he held until October 1.

Between 1975 through 1981, he attended Central Primary School in Gulak for his elementary schooling. Between 1981 through 1986, he attended Government Day Secondary School in Gulak and Government Secondary School in Michika for his secondary education.

Personal life
Lami Ahmadu Fintiri and Fintiri are parents of three kids. Fintiri lost his mother Hajiya Fatima Umar Badami in 2020.
She passed away at the Federal Medical Center, Yola, following a protracted illness. After a protracted illness, his father Umaru Badami passed away in Yola’s Federal Medical Center (FMC).

Fintiri received 376,552 votes, defeating incumbent governor Bindo Jibrilla of the All Progressive Congress, who received 336,386 votes.
Before being chosen Speaker, a role he held until 2015, he held a number of leadership positions in the House of Assembly. Adamawa State’s governor for two terms was Ahmadu Fintiri.
He was made acting governor in July 2014 after Murtala Nyako, the previous governor, was removed from office. After three months, he handed leadership over to Bala James Ngilari.
Ahmadu Fintiri, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, won the election for governor of Adamawa State on March 9.

Running Mate
Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, a woman, has been announced as Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa’s running mate for the PDP’s ticket in the governor’s race of 2023. (PDP).
