1.    Orientation Courses

The orientation course is the initiating stage of the NYSC program. It is a three-week course, and you also attain the following objectives:

1. It will give you time and space to easily adapt to the culture, economy, and social settings of your new environment.
2. You will learn your roles in the organization.
3. It will equip you with the leadership and social skills required for challenges in the future.
4. It will increase your spirit of national consciousness.

2.    Primary Assignment

Toward the end of the orientation, you will be posted to a place of primary assignment, also known as PPA. This PPA will be given to you according to your discipline. It is highly recommended for Corps members to make huge contributions to the development of their host communities.

3.    Community Development Service (CDS)

The Community Development Service (CDS) was established to increase the creativity, skills, and innovativeness of Corpers. As a result, you are expected to identify the needs of your host communities.

After identifying their needs, you and your fellow CDS members will carry out a project towards the development of the host community. Through this, CDS Corpers have contributed massively to the development of their host communities.

4.    NYSC Batch C Stream 2 – Winding- up or passing out

Winding–up is a period (usually the 12^th month of service), also known as the end of your youth service. During the winding – up you will submit your final clearance letters from your employer to the Zonal or Local government inspector.

A passing-out parade will also be carried out in the orientation camp. Corps members with outstanding performance in their orientation course, primary assignment, and CDS will be given the State Honor Award.

NYSC Batch C Stream 2 Registration Date and Camp Registration Requirements

The registration date for the upcoming NYSC batch C stream 2023 will start on 23rd November. The date of orientation camping of this batch is 23^rd November – 19^th December 2023.

Requirements for Camp Registration

After receiving your call-up letter, which contains your state of deployment, camping date, comping location, and other vital information, you will go to the orientation camp. Before going to the orientation camp, you need to take note of the following documents because they are mandatory:

1. Final year school ID card: before going to your state of redeployment, you need to collect your school final year ID card from your Directorate of Students’ Affairs. Make two photocopies of it; you will be instructed to tender the photocopies in the orientation during registration. Also, go with the original copy for verification.
2. Statement of result: It is highly recommended to go to the camp with your statement of result or original certificate (HND, BSc, and other equivalent) with 4 photocopies. Going to the orientation camp is meaningless without your statement of result or original certificate. This is because it can be used for verification.

If you’re a graduate of medical fields such as Doctors, Optometrists, Pharmacists, etc. It is also recommended that you go with your proof of accomplishment of internship with the original certificate or statement of result. If you are a foreign student is recommended to go with your original certification.
