The Witcher Season 3 Release Date
The upcoming season 3 of The Witcher will be split into two parts, with volume 1 set to launch on June 29th and volume 2 arriving on July 27th.
Executive producer Steve Gaub confirmed that filming for season 3 had wrapped up in September 2022. He shared a picture of a skull on a bookcase on Instagram and wrote, “And that’s a picture wrap on Season 3 of @witchernetflix!!”
Freya Allan, who plays Ciri on the show, had a sneak peek at the scripts for the third season back in December 2021.
She expressed her excitement, stating that she thinks it’s going to be “a great season.” During an interview with RadioTimes.com, she revealed that she had already seen some of the scripts and that the release date is not too far away.
The Plot: What Will Happen?
What will happen in season two is that the monarchs, mages. And beasts of The Continent will struggle to get hold of Ciri of Cintra. In plot 3, Geralt takes Ciri into a hiding place in other to protect their newly-reunited family from those who seek to destroy it.
Yennefer is entrusted with Ciri’s magical training and leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, hoping to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers.
However, they soon find themselves on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must put everything on the line and fight back or risk losing each other forever.
Season 3 of The Witcher will explore Ciri’s destiny, following the season 2 cliffhangers that revealed The Wild Hunt wants her for her ‘Hen Iker’ (Elder Blood).
Ciri potentially has the power to restore the elves to their former glory. Geralt is aware of Ciri’s destiny, stating that “The demon; the Wild Hunt – she’s marked for something, and it doesn’t end there.

How Many Episode Will Be in the Season 3?
The episode count for The Witcher season three has not been officially announced by Netflix yet. However, based on the previous two seasons, it is likely that the upcoming season will also consist of eight episodes.
Nevertheless, given the expansive world of The Witcher. It wouldn’t be surprising if season three’s run is increased to ten episodes. Providing even more thrilling witchy adventures for viewers!
When season two was released, Netflix reported that viewers had streamed a total of 142.4 million hours within the first three days alone.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be a waste of resources for Netflix to add two or three more episodes to season three.
