For those of you who don’t know, the word “DJ” simply means DISCO JOCKEY.
Everyone is familiar with the operations of a DJ but not everyone knows that they earn quite a lot of income just scratching the wheels.
In fact, some of these DJ’s actually earn more than some performing artists. Gone are the days when all a DJ could do was scratch and mix tracks.
Nowadays, the job description could also include; MCing, Hyping, and even dropping hit tracks themselves.

The Nigerian disc jockey, whose real name is Aderonke Ariyo, rose to prominence in her home country for her House music remixes of tracks by Mavin artists Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage. She is also well-known for her electronic dance music (EDM) (Electronic Dance Music). She is dubbed as Africa’s first female DJ and owns a record label.

Obianuju Catherine Udeh is a native of Udi town in Enugu State. She is a graduate of UNIPORT who belonged to the music band called Da Pulse.
DJ Switch began her spotlight experience when she won the Glo X-Factor in 2013, this earned recording deals with both Sony and PSquare. She also won the Star Quest reality music competition. She has won the following awards:

DJ BIG N ($250,000)
Big N is Marvin’s Records’ in-house DJ. He began his Disc Jockey career in the UK, where he used to perform at local clubs in the West Midlands before performing as a guest DJ at the Palms Club in Coventry and later at Club “Release.”
He’s worked on a number of Mavins Records mixtapes, including the label’s theme song “Mavin All-Stars,” “Energy Mixtape,” and others.

Akeredolu Precious Pelumi, whose stage name is DJ Consequence, is a native of Ondo state who grew up in Lagos. He has released numerous tracks and mixtapes, as well as two albums named “Vibes from the Future” and “VIBES – The Mixtape”.

DJ Lambo is the CEO of Choi Boy Nation, a Chocolate City imprint musical company. Being one of the few female DJ’s, this feat on its own is praiseworthy. Her real name is Olawunmi Okerayi.
DJ Lambo is a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian entertainment industry, having performed live three times on Nigeria’s most famous show, The BigBrother Naija (BBN).
