After a brief illness, Bashir passed away in the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja. He was the younger brother of business tycoon and Chairman of Max Air, Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal.

Cause of death

Burial

After funeral prayers led by Iman Mustapha of the Katsina Central Mosque on December 24 at around 6 o’clock in the afternoon, he was laid to rest at the Danmarna Cemetery.

The senior Mangal, Mannir Yakubu, the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the Governor of the State of Sokoto, Senator Adamu Aliero, and Alhaji Muntari Lawal, the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, were among the dignitaries who attended the funeral.
