Best War Movies: With so many untold historical tales, 2023 is already looking like a competitive year for war movies. 85 years have passed since the start of the Second World War, and 104 years have passed since the end of the First.

1. Bunker – February 24th
In the historical horror-thriller Bunker, horror and World War I come head to head. The horror of World War I is well known now because of recent movies like All Quiet on the Western Front and 1917.
However, the film directed by Adrian Langley gives us a distinct perspective on the brutality of the Great War.
An infantry battalion is imprisoned in a bunker and is ruthlessly plagued by an evil entity. The group is gradually taken out as bombs fall from above.
2. Extraction 2 – June 16th (Best War Movies)
Netflix decided to release a sequel to the rather successful Extraction from the year 2020. With Extraction 2 making its platform debut in June 2023.
The biggest win for the movie is without a doubt Chris Hemsworth’s comeback as Tyler Rake, together with Golshifteh Farahani.
Similar to Bond in Skyfall, Rake appears to have resurrected himself this time after being thought to be dead. Rake, a highly regarded mercenary, is back for another job that is both action-packed and loaded.
3. Oppenheimer – July 21st

4. Golda – August 25th
Due to Israel’s ongoing and brutal attack on Palestine, there is very little compassion for them. The movie Golda by Guy Nattiv will serve as a reminder that Israel is a country that has had its fair share of war, though.
The 2023 movie, which is scheduled to have its global premiere in August, tells the tale of Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, who presided over her nation during the Yom Kippur War in the early 1970s.

The Finnish word “sisu” is difficult to translate precisely, but this illustrious ex-commando will stand in for what sisu means: an unflinching kind of bravery and unfathomable tenacity in the face of overwhelming challenges.
