Funke Akindele-Bello in cooperation with JJC Skillz released basic information one should know about their first joint movie Omo Ghetto(The Saga).
Funke Akindele-Bello also plays a dual role of being both Lefty and Ayomide in this new release.
The movie which has some similarities to her 2010 Omo Ghetto trilogy was is out with some amazing movie stars among the cast.
Production and Direction
The direction of the new release is by JC Skillz together with Funke Akindele-Bello.
Some information about the new release has been dropped by Funke Akindele.
The fact that Funke Akindele will be co-directing this new release with her husband, JJC Skillz is one of the latest happenings in this project.
In the early stage of 2020 Funke Akindele made mention of this production. Later, some challenges were encountered especially the COVID 19 pandemic it could not be released early enough.
About Funke Adeleke
Funke Akindele popularly known as Jenifa because of the role she played in a movie titled Jenifa is a Nigerian actress, film producer, scriptwriter and an entrepreneur.
She has made a name in the movie industry with the manner in which she interprets her roles. She also extended the Jenifa name to her own soap opera titled Jenifa’s diary which even made her more popular.
Funke Akindele Background
Funke Akindele made her way into this world on the 24th of August, 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
She attended her primary education in Grace Children Schools, Gbagada and her secondary education in Lagos State Model College, Igbo-Kuta.
She has an OND in mass communication from the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun state and a Law degree from the University of Lagos.
Funke got married to Adeola Kehinde Oloyede on the 26th of May 2012 and was divorced in July 2013 due to some differences. She later married Abdul Resheed Bello also known as JJC Skillz in London in May 2016.
Funke Akindele’s Career
Just like Falz of Quam Money, Funke who is a trained lawyer decided to pursue acting as her career as she knew she can perform very well
She made her first debut in a movie titled Naked Wire which she featured as a waitress.
Funke began to attain great heights when she acted as a secondary school student who was curious but intelligent. This was in I Need to Know which was a popular TV series from 1988-2002.
I Need to Know is a sitcom program sponsored by the united nations population fund created to make the public know the problems teenagers encounter while growing up.
She has also debuted in many movies, written and also produced many of which most of them are Yoruba movies.
Funke has also produced many outstanding Nigerian movies of which some of them are; Maami, Iru Oka (Cobra’s tail), Omo Ghetto, Ojo Ketala (13th day) and A Trip to Jamaica.
She became more popular after her debut as the heroine of a comedy movie titled Jenifa where she acted like a girl from the village going to seek greener pastures in Lagos.
The movie became a hit as it was both entertaining and hilarious as she showed off her talent. The movie also helped her to create her own TV series Jenifa’s Diary.
Jenifa’s diary is now widely known nationwide as it features various star such as Lota Chukwu, Folarin Falana (Falz Da bad guy) and Lolo who is an OAP and TV celebrity.
Funke Akindele has made it big in her movie career. She is one of the best Nollywood stars.

In February Funke made the production of the movie known to all by sharing a photo of both herself and Eniola Badmus on Instagram
In February 2020 the photography for the movie began. All scenes were shot in Dubai but there was later a hindrance by the global lockdown.
Funke who is not just an actress but also the movie director will reunite with Eniola Badmus.
Eniola Badmus acted the part of Butty in the 2010 triology.
The movie entails the story of twin sisters who are leading separate lives and are later brought together by fate.

As reported by CEAN, Omo Ghetto brought about N124,178,450 million as it was released on Christmas day.
Akindele is also seen as one actress who does not play with her role and always put in her best to ensure her notification in any movie she features in.
Funke is also one movie star whom people always await any movie she features in to be out. She has really made a mark in the movie industry and is being loved by all.
This made the movie the first Nollywood movie to reach about N98 million on its opening weekend. It is also 2020’s highest selling movie.
Notwithstanding the roughness of the year, the new release has made a record. It has knocked out The Wedding Party 2 from the top of the list with its N73.3million opening weekend worth.
